Traffic Stop Results in Trafficking Arrest

Jun 26, 2026

On June 24, 2026 Levy County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Kaleigh Richetti conducted a traffic stop in the town of Inglis after observing multiple traffic violations. Sheriff’s Office K-9 handler Rich Peters responded to assist and his K-9 partner Bohden alerted him to the odor of illegal narcotics inside the vehicle.

Deputy Richetti searched the vehicle and located suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine packaged in separate baggies, along with Alprazolam, Hydrocodone, and drug paraphernalia. The suspected narcotics field tested positive, and the quantities exceeded Florida’s trafficking threshold.

The driver, Ronnie Lee Beam (1/21/82) of Beverly Hills, Florida was arrested and charged with:

  • Trafficking in Fentanyl F.S. 893.135(1)(c)(4)(a)
  • Two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance F.S. 893.13(6)(a)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia F.S. 893.147(1)

Beam is being held in the Levy County Detention Center with no bond.
