Inmate MailThe Levy County Sheriff’s Office has contracted with Smart Communication to provide MailGuard electronic mail services for the Detention Bureau. Mail Guard is an efficient way for inmates to receive letters and photos electronically. Effective April 8, 2019 inmate postal mail must be sent to the following address: LCSO-SCH INMATE NAME – JACKET NUMBER (ID NUMBER) P.O. BOX 1907 PINELLAS PARK, FL 33780. The inmate’s name and jacket/id number must be clearly printed on the outside of the envelope or post card to ensure the mail is posted to the correct account. All regular inmate postal mail (postcards, letters, greeting cards, etc.) will be scanned into the system and available to the inmates to view via the kiosks in the Detention Facility. Upon release, inmates can login on the public website at www.smartjailmail.com and enter their inmate number and password to download their photos, messages and postal mail at no charge. This application will provide you with access to messages, photos and postal mail that was processed through the Smart Jail Mail system while you were incarcerated at the Levy County Sheriff’s Office Detention Bureau. You will not be able to respond to messages or access request forms, grievances or medical forms through this application. LEGAL MAIL, COURT DOCUMENTS, BANK STATEMENTS, AND PUBLICATION SHALL BE SENT TO LEVY COUNTY DETENTION BUREAU, P.O. BOX 1565, BRONSON, FL 32621. |
