Undersheriff/Legal Advisor,
W.O. “Brett” B. Beauchamp

The Undersheriff acts as Assistant Sheriff, assumes all responsibilities in the Sheriff’s absence or as otherwise directed, oversees all activities of the Levy County Sheriff’s Office, and performs any special duties or activities as assigned by the Sheriff.

Chief Beauchamp graduated from Chiefland High School and has earned a B.S. in Criminology from Florida State University and a J.D. from the University of Florida.

His prior Law Enforcement experience includes the Chiefland Police Department, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Chief Beauchamp is an adjunct professor at the College of Central Florida’s Criminal Justice Institute where he teaches a variety of law enforcement course work.
