LCSO AND LEVY COUNTY SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT JOINT PRESS RELEASE
LCSO personnel are currently in the area of Bronson Middle High School and Bronson Elementary School investigating a suspicious person report. There is no credible threat to either campus at this time. Additional deputies will remain on campus for the rest of the school day.
Earlier multiple witnesses reported hearing gunshots around the school and seeing a white male wearing blue jeans and a white cowboy type shirt in the area. Deputies are seeking to interview this person of interest.
Both schools were put on “Lockdown” status. That status has been lifted and operations have returned to normal. The School District has notified parents through the ParentsSquare app that the lockdowns have been lifted.
