On June 15, 2026, at approximately 2:37 a.m., Levy County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Jerry B. Miller conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle after observing several moving violations. The driver, 39-year-old Olivier Tatin of Trenton, failed to produce a valid driver’s license when asked. Deputy Miller requested assistance from K-9 Deputy Rich Peters and K-9 Bohden. Bohden alerted Deputy Peters of the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle.
Deputy Miller conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered approximately 19.6 grams of methamphetamine and fentanyl, along with approximately 2.0 grams of crack cocaine containing fentanyl. Based on the quantity and packaging, the narcotics were determined to be consistent with trafficking.
Tatin was arrested and transported to the Levy County Detention Facility, where he was charged with two counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance and one count of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Sell, Manufacture, or Deliver.
At first appearance, the judge ordered no bond on one count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, set a $100,000 bond on the second count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, and set a $25,000 bond on the charge of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Sell, Manufacture, or Deliver.
Sheriff Bobby McCallum stated, “The presence of fentanyl in our communities continues to pose a significant threat to public safety. The proactive work of our deputies and K-9 teams help remove these dangerous substances from our streets before they can cause further harm. We remain committed to aggressively pursuing those involved in the trafficking and distribution of illegal narcotics throughout Levy County.”
