The Agricultural Crimes responsibilities include acting as a liaison between the agricultural community and the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies patrol all agricultural areas, responding to all routine and emergency calls within Levy County including agricultural related crimes involving the timber industry, nurseries, livestock, and animal theft, abuse and cruelty. Deputies work closely with the Levy County Animal Control Services on livestock and animal related issues. Deputies also work with farmers to coordinate equipment escorts.
Ag Watch Program
The program was developed as a means to identify ownership of agriculture properties in Levy County County. The program consists of a sign listing the property/business AG ID number. The ID number displayed provides deputies on patrol instant access to owner information.
