Multi-State Collaboration Arrest Made In 13 Year Old Case

Mar 12, 2026

On December 14, 2025 Patrol Deputy Zachary Corman responded to a call for service where a female complainant reported that 13 years prior she and other family members were sexually abused by Tommy Alan Poole (DOB 12/26/1988). The complainant said her sexual abuse resulted in a pregnancy and produced a daughter. The applicable criminal charges have no statute of limitations under Florida law due to the ages of the involved parties. The case was transferred to the LCSO Criminal Investigations Division for investigation.

On December 29, 2025 Detective Blake Landfair was assigned the investigation. Detective Landfair took statements from victims and witnesses. He completed a background investigation of the named suspect, Tommy Alan Poole. He learned that Poole now resided in Salem, Oregon. Detective Landfair developed probable cause for the Poole’s arrest and secured an arrest warrant for 2 counts of Capital Sexual Battery on a child 12 years or younger. A “No Bond” was assigned to the warrant.

Detective Landfair coordinated with personnel with the Oregon State Police-Salem Major Crimes Unit and a plan to apprehend Poole was developed. Detective Landfair then went to Oregon to assist Oregon State Police (OSP) in Poole’s apprehension.

On March 3, 2026 OSP, with the assistance of Salem Police Department Officers, located and arrested Poole on the Levy County warrant. Poole was transported to their precinct where Detective Landfair conducted an interview with him. Additional evidence was obtained. Poole is currently detained in the Marion County Jail (Oregon) awaiting extradition back to Florida.

The LCSO cannot put into words their profound appreciation to the Oregon State Police and Salem Police Department for their efforts and assistance in this investigation that allowed us to locate and apprehend the suspect. Our LCSO detectives will seek justice for our victims, no matter where the suspect fled to avoid prosecution.

Sheriff McCallum said, “This is another prime example of how our deputies and detectives work diligently to investigate, arrest and bring justice to sexual abuse victims, no matter when the crimes occurred. We want to thank our Criminal Justice partners in Oregon for their assistance in apprehending this sick criminal. We pray that some sense of healing will be with these victims that were abused in their childhood.”
