Victim/Witness Services

The goal of Victim Services is to ensure that victims of a crime are treated with fairness, respect and dignity by providing assistance and services to them that will help lessen the impact of the crime.

As Victim Advocates we work very closely with outside agencies such as:

  • Office of Attorney General
  • Child Advocacy Center
  • Department of Children and Family Services
  • The State Attorney’s Office
  • Other Local and State Agencies

We are here to comfort and help victims with referrals to appropriate agencies and services according to their needs as well as provide short term crisis intervention.

  • 24-hour On Call Victim Advocate
  • Act as Liaison between victim and assigned detective throughout the investigation
  • Assist with filing an Injunction for Protection
  • Assist with filing for Crime Victim Compensation
  • Upon request, we will accompany with court proceedings
