Early today Chiefland Middle High School received multiple phone calls of concern related to threatening social media posts from a neighboring school district. The posts described potential school security threats. Currently extra law enforcement officers from LCSO and the Chiefland Police Department are on campus conducting their investigation.
Out of an abundance of caution, both CMHS and Chiefland Elementary School are on “Secure Campus” status. We have NO EVIDENCE indicating any valid threat at this time.
