Chief of Staff, Colonel Mike Sheffield

Colonel Sheffield is a lifelong resident of Levy County. He started with the Levy County Sheriff’s Office over 35 years ago as an officer at the Detention Bureau where he was promoted up through the ranks to his current position as Chief of Staff at the Sheriff’s Office.

The Chief of Staff acts under the supervision of the Undersheriff, and performs special duties or activities as assigned by the Sheriff. Chief of Staff supervises daily operations of all Divisions and is an expert on day to day operations and procedures of the Detention Bureau.
