Uniform Deputies Apprehend Wanted Fugitive

Dec 10, 2025

On November 26, 2025 LCSO Deputy Carol Cobb and Sergeant Leroy Prine responded to serve multiple warrants on Christopher English at his residence in Morriston, Florida. English immediately fled the property upon sight of these deputies. Deputy Cobb gave chase and called for additional assistance. Deputies from Levy and Marion Counties responded to assist. However, English was able to evade capture this day. Additional criminal warrants for resisting arrest without violence were issued based on this event.

On December 5, 2025 LCSO Deputy Landon Kennedy and Corporal Dean MacIntyre responded to arrest English at his residence. English was in his yard when they arrived and once again attempted to flee. Deputy Kennedy and Corporal MacIntyre deployed their Tasers subduing English and allowing him to be taken into custody.

On December 9, 2025 Detective Joe Barrera filed additional charges on Christopher English concluding a lengthy investigation into English for maintaining a chop shop and grand theft motor vehicle. This investigation was conducted jointly with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office who suspected English was responsible for multiple thefts in their jurisdiction.

Christopher English is currently being held in the Levy County Detention Center. A “No Bond” is assigned to the existing warrants. A bond of $500,000 is assigned to the charge of maintaining a chop shop, a $100,000 bond for grand theft auto, and a $50,000 for two counts of resisting an officer without violence.

The Levy County Sheriff’s Office frequently works with other law enforcement agency from both near and far to investigate and arrest offenders. The joint efforts by the LCSO and Marion County Sheriff’s Office led to the capture of English and solved multiple crimes in both counties.
