The Levy County Detention Bureau serves our community by providing safe, secure and humane detention of individuals in our custody and to provide proper care and supervision of all offenders under our jurisdiction while assisting their re-entry into society.

The Detention Bureau operates under the management of the Sheriff, Command Staff and the following Lieutenants:

The Levy County Detention Bureau has a maximum capacity of 304 inmates. It is a non-smoking facility without access to televisions or newspapers. The LCSO employs qualified and licensed medical staff and the medical facility is in operation ten (10) hours a day seven (7) days a week. We contract monthly with an outside medical facility for physician services.
