At 11 PM on December 28, 2019 the Levy County Sheriff’s Office 911 Center received a call about a person who had been stabbed. The victim was taken from the wooded area near CR 326 and Fishcamp Road by a third party to the post office in Gulf Hammock where the victim was met by EMS and deputies. The victim was suffering from a life threatening stab wound to the left bicep and a second stab wound to the abdomen. The victim was transported by EMS to a local hospital for treatment.
Detectives responded to the scene and the investigation revealed David J. Tindall (11/18/77) and Stephanie M. Tindall (11/26/76) of Otter Creek were involved in an argument with the victim and his girlfriend. The Tindall’s chased the victim and his girlfriend on Fishcamp Road near CR 326, ultimately blocking them in near a hunting camp. Stephanie Tindall pulled the victim’s girlfriend from her truck and engaged in a fight. David Tindall joined the fray, punching the woman his wife was fighting with several times in the face. The victim, a 28 year old man, went to the aid of his girlfriend. Entering the fight, he grabbed David Tindall and began struggling with him. A knife carried by the victim was grabbed by David Tindall who used it to stab the victim twice, once in the abdomen and once through his bicep, lacerating the artery in his arm.
On Monday, December 30, 2019, Detectives located the Tindall’s at their home in Otter Creek and took both into custody. David Tindall has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, battery (2nd subsequent offense) and criminal mischief. His bond is set at $375,000.00. Stephanie Tindall has been charged with burglary with a battery and is awaiting first appearance.
At 5:00 PM on December 30, 2019 Deputies and Detectives responded to 6350 SE 186 Terrace to a second reported stabbing. Arriving law enforcement discovered a domestic dispute involving Stephanie A Paradise (6/11/74) of Morriston which escalated from a verbal argument and ended with Paradise stabbing her live-in boyfriend in the chest. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. Paradise was arrested on scene and has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. She is awaiting first appearance.
