continue operations like these as I strive to make Levy County a safer place.

Female Arrested for Obstructing Deputies

May 24, 2017
Deputies obtained information through a confidential tip
which led to the arrest of fugitive William Justin Ford. Ford escaped custody on
March 28, 2017 and had been on the run for 51 days. Investigators learned
Ford was at a home owned by Tiffany Nicole Davis (8-3-87). Deputies arrived,
announced their presence and gave Davis specific orders to exit the home. Davis
refused and stalled the deputies’ attempt to enter the home which allowed Ford
a second chance at escape.
Ford was captured after running a short distance from the
home. Davis was also given a ride to the Levy County Detention Facility for her
part in his last bid for freedom. Davis was found to have a knive/brass
knuckles combination weapon concealed in her waist band. She was booked in
for resisting officers without violence and possession of a concealed weapon.
Her bond has been set at $35,000.00.

Escapee Arrested

May 18, 2017
On March 28th the LCSO reported that William Justin Ford 12-21-90
was able to slip free from his handcuffs and escape from a LCSO patrol car. Mr.
Ford’s freedom was short lived, as he was captured late this afternoon at a
residence off of CR 337. Investigators were tipped to Fords location and
surrounded the home. Ford did the only thing he knew to do and tried to run
again, however deputies had all of his escape routes blocked. Ford was taken
into custody.

Mr. Ford will have his first appearance tomorrow morning in
the Levy County Court. He faces multiple felony charges from his first escape
and will be charged with an additional count of resisting arrest for his
refusal to comply and surrender today. Investigators continue their
investigation and expect additional charges will be filed on the individual(s)
who assisted Ford as he evaded capture for the last 51 days.

Mobile Meth Lab Located – Two Arrested

May 12, 2017
The Levy County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force
Investigators and investigators with the Chiefland Police Department and LCSO
Uniform Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop at 2:12 pm this afternoon in
the area of 14621 NW Hwy 19 north of Chiefland.
Investigators learned through an anonymous tip a vehicle
potentially had an active methamphetamine laboratory inside. Investigators discovered
the information was “spot on” and an active methamphetamine laboratory was in
the vehicle. Investigators found a “trafficking” amount of liquid
methamphetamine.
The 2012 black SUV driven by Jessica L. Aguon (7-11-96) of
Old Town, Fl was seized. Augon and passenger David N. Collins (1-17-66) from
Cross City have been arrested and transported to the Levy County Detention
Bureau. They have been charged with manufacturing methamphetamines and
trafficking in methamphetamine.
Mobile methamphetamine laboratories pose a huge risk to both
our public and first responders. These labs are extremely unstable and first
responders have additional concerns when attempting to make these volatile
chemicals safe especially on the side of the road.
