Oasis Bar Arrest


Media Release   Date:                June 30, 2009 Time:                9:30 AM   Morriston, Florida- On June 28, 2009 the Levy County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call at the Oasis Bar located at 2451 SE Hwy 41.  Upon Deputy Crooms arrival, Anthony Mammarello walked out of the bar and said “Go ahead and take me to jail, I’m the guy you are looking for”.    Deputy Crooms made contact with the bartender and she advised that Mammerello got mad when he was unable to withdraw money from the ATM machine.  The bartender stated that Mammarello did over $1,200 in property damage and broke two televisions, destroyed a Budweiser bar light and threw a bar stool through the air condition ducts.     Defendant:   Anthony John Mammarello 2253 SW Big Bear Ridge Dunnellon, Florida White Male 09/26/62           ###  

Street Brawl In Bronson Three Arrested


MEDIA RELEASE   Date:                June 30, 2009 Time:                9:00 AM   Bronson, Florida-A street brawl fight in Bronson resulted in the arrest of three men by Deputy Joseph Sabbag.  On June 25, 2009 around 5:45 PM the Levy County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call at 424 Margaret Street that there were several men fighting in the street.    Upon Deputy Sabbag arriving on the scene he observed between 15-20 people in the street causing a disturbance.  Investigation revealed that the defendants Willie Crowley, Christopher Cox, Mark Cox and a juvenile got into a fight after words were exchanged.  Deputy Sabbag arrested the above men for battery and affray and they were transported to the Levy County Jail.   Defendant:   Willie Terrell Crowley 440 Margaret Street Bronson, Florida Black Male 12/15/75   Christopher Cox 424 Margaret Street Bronson, Florida White Male 12/26/90   Mark Cox 424 Margaret Street Bronson, Florida White Male 06/05/68   ###    

Arrest Dean Esposito

MEDIA RELEASE   Date:                June 23, 2009 Time:                9:30 AM   Cedar Key, Florida-On June 15, 2009 Deputy Allen Breeding arrested Dean Ryan Esposito for child abuse, resisting arrest without violence and improper exhibition of a firearm.   The Levy County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call in reference to a domestic dispute between Esposito and a relative.  The victim retreated to a neighbor’s residence and advised Deputy Allen that Esposito had been drinking all day and hit the victim (juvenile) with a closed fist.    Deputy Breeding went to 13691 SW 67 Place and observed the Esposito sitting on his front steps with a black pistol on his lap.  Esposito was ordered to put the gun down and he stated that he had a loaded gun and became upset and went inside the residence armed with the pistol.   Captain Anderson responded to the scene and was able to get Esposito in putting the gun down inside the residence.  While standing at the front door attempting to get Esposito to come outside he became upset and made an aggressive move towards the pistol.  Captain Anderson was able to neutralize Esposito by deploying his taser before Esposito could arm himself with the pistol.   Esposito was arrested for the listed charges and was transported to the Levy County Jail.     Defendant:   Dean Ryan Esposito 13691 SW 76 Place Cedar Key, Florida White Male 03/27/68   ###

Arrest Nickolas Vanblekum


MEDIA RELEASE   Date:                June 22, 2009 Time:                1:30 PM   Inglis, Florida-On June 20, 2009 Investigator Mike Bell arrested Nickolas James Vanbelkum for burglary and grand theft.   On June 19, 2009 the victim reported to the Levy County Sheriff’s Office that unknown person(s) forcibly entered her residence at 19933 SE 110 Ave Inglis, Fl.  Upon entry the suspect(s) stole jewelry, tools, gym set, and music compact disk valued over $ 2,000 dollars.   Through the investigation Vanbelkum was developed as a suspect.  Investigator Bell and Officer Letson with Inglis Police Department searched the suspect’s residence and located several stolen items inside Vanbelkum’s residence.  Vanbelkum confessed to the burglary and theft and stated that he stole the items on June 16, 2009 around 11:30 PM.    Defendant:   Nickolas James Vanbelkum 20048 SE 112 Ave. Inglis, Florida White Male 07/05/68   ###

Arrest David Goodman

Media Release   Date:                June 22, 2009 Time:                11:30 AM   Morriston, Florida-On June 21, 2009 Investigator Mike Bell arrested David Matthew Goodman for sexual battery and he was transported to the Levy County Jail.   On June 20, 2009 the victim was visiting Goodman at 21750 SE 71 Lane Morriston.  While the victim was inside Goodman’s travel trailer he forcibly committed sexual battery on the victim.  There was an adult witness during the incident that heard the victim say no to Goodman several times but he refused to stop.    Goodman is known to law enforcement and he is currently on felony battery probation.     Defendant:                                                                Bond:   David Matthew Goodman                                            $ 50,000 21750 SE 71 Lane Morriston, Florida White Male 08/31/84   ###
